biscuit boy is a concept born of one man’s desire to elevate traditional breakfast fare and share his interpretations with real breakfast lovers.
Chef Ken, as he’s known by friends and family, is the founder of biscuit boy and the creative force behind our flagship offering: Southern biscuits and country gravy.
Made completely from scratch, and based on recipes developed over many years, this seemingly simple comfort food, when given the care it deserves, becomes a delectable treat, not just a filler.
The Name
The name biscuit boy came from Ken’s daughter, who, when she was a kid, was tasked with waking up her brother for breakfast one morning. She did so by pounding on his door and exclaiming, “Rise and shine, biscuit boy, breakfast is almost ready”. The moniker stuck around as a joke within the family for decades. Little did we know it would be the perfect turn-of-phrase for a business featuring biscuits & gravy all these years later!
